Known by the name “Al-Sarma”, this dress is made of cotton-velvet or silk fabric in purple color or any other color. It is influenced by the Turkish Ottoman style and consists of one or two pieces. The embroidery on this dress is done with shiny silver threads using stitches called ‘Al-Laff’ and ‘Al-Tehshaya’. The embroidery covers a big part of the lower area of the dress including the sleeves and takes the shape of different floral patterns. Whereas the embroidery on the upper part of the dress surrounding the chest comes in an oval shape.
The shawl is off-white adorned with a piece of velvet that is embroidered using the same shiny silver threads
