It was named for the 4 vertical embroidered strips called Al- ‘Orouq’ which means branches in Arabic. This thobe is simple and traditional in style, where it is mainly embroidered on the sides of the thobe called ‘Al-Banayeq’ using ‘Al-Manajel’ stitch, hence the name of the thobe.
The frontal and back areas of the thobe are embroidered in floral branch formations. The chest is embroidered in red silk threads in the shape of arches and flowers, whereas the sleeves and lower back hem are slightly embroidered. Different parts of the thobe are put together using the colorful ‘Al-Manajel’ stitch.
The belt is made of striped cashmere.
The shawl is off white adorned with a piece of cashmere.
