Made of purple velvet fabric, the embroidery pattern on this thobe is done in 6 straight thin lines called “Orouq” which means branches in Arabic. The embroidery covers the chest area, whereas the sleeves are slightly embroidered. The lower back hem is embroidered in a horizontal band.
The threads used in embroidery are thick silk and reed threads using “Al-Tahrira” stitch which Bethlehem is famous for. The patterns on this thobe are also similar to those found on Bethlehem thobe.
The belt is made of striped cashmere.
The shawl is off-white adorned with a piece of cashmere.
