Area: Ramallah and Al-Bireh
Worn by the bride on her Henna night, this thobe is made of either black or dark blue cotton and polyester fabric embroidered using red threads with some patterns in yellow.
This thobe is different than the traditional Ramallah thobe in terms of the richness of embroidery that spreads across various parts of it covering wide areas of the front and back, chest panel and sleeves. Patterns are usually geometric and floral.
The central front area is adorned with a band of cashmere fabric in the shape of opposing triangles, giving the illusion that the dress is open from the front. Cashmere fabric also covers the shoulders and extends to the upper back area.
The belt is made of striped cashmere.
The shawl is off-white in color decorated with a piece of cashmere.
